Let’s see what ErgoDrive is all about…

ErgoDrive by ErgoGenix Nutrient Profile

  1. Vitamin D (as Cholecalciferol) (1,000 IU), sometimes referred to as the “sunshine vitamin” because it’s synthesized when the skin is directly exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D is believed to promote bone health as well as offer mood enhancement.  According to one study, a daily 3,332 IU vitamin D supplementation managed to increase testosterone (on average) from 10.7±3.9 nmol/l to 13.4±4.7 nmol/l.
  2. Zinc (as Zinc Monomethionine, Zinc Aspartate) (35 mg) is an essential dietary mineral that works to regulate enzymes. It’s widely agreed that zinc normally leaves the body through sweat during exercise, and that possibly explains why levels are so low immediately after sweating out. There is widespread consensus that zinc is extremely effective in boosting the libido, as well as formidable testosterone enhancement, especially for males suffering from zinc deficiencies. According to one study, daily zinc supplementation provided immense improvements in circulating testosterone levels, as highlighted here.
  3. Fenugreek Extract (Xenith F™)(20% Protodioscin)(Seed) (300 mg), derived from the plant with the same name, is normally found in parts of India and the Middle East. Fenugreek has been used as a libido enhancer for centuries. But in more recent times, and according to a lone study, daily supplementation over the course of six months showed significant improvements in free testosterone.
  4. Purified Shilajit (PrimaVie®) (100 mg) is a mixture of minerals associated with Ayurveda. According to one study, a daily 200 mg supplementation in infertile men induced increases in testosterone on average by 23.5%.  At present, effects in fertile men remain unclear.
  5. Longjack Extract (Eurycoma Longifolia)(Root) (100 mg) is a recognized pro-fertility agent and powerful aphrodisiac that is also suspected of possessing anti-estrogenic properties, as well as pro-erectile effects. At present, there is nothing to suggest it can increase testosterone.
  6. 3,3′-Diindolylmethane (100 mg) is a molecule named after its structure. It is commonly found in broccoli and is believed to possess anti-aromatase and anti-cancerous properties.
  7. Boron (as Boron Glycinate Complex (Boroganic™ Glycine)) (3 mg) is a dietary mineral suspected of inducing increases in testosterone when supplemented at higher doses than what is normally found in foods. One study involving a daily 3 mg boron supplementation over a period of 119 days noted increases in both testosterone and estrogen in postmenopausal women. An altogether different study involving a 10 mg daily boron supplementation for two weeks actually resulted in less estrogen, and more free testosterone.

Effectiveness

ErgoDrive no doubt contains some well thought out ingredients. For instance, vitamin D has shown to elevate testosterone after daily supplementation, as have zinc and fenugreek. Regarding Shilajit, existing studies have been conducted on infertile men, and effects on fertile men remain unclear.

And the same goes for boron, existing studies have provided wishy-washy results.

Longjack will no doubt provide healthy libido enhancement if that’s what you’re looking for.

So in a nutshell, ErgoDrive contains three proven testosterone enhancing ingredients, and two further possible candidates.

ErgoDrive by ErgoGenix Overall Rating

ErgoGenix have created a very good testosterone booster. It contains all the ingredients you’d expect to find in a quality product.

My only concern is the uncertainty surrounding shilajit and boron, both of which have delivered a mixed bag of results in terms of testosterone enhancement during trials.
